About Us

About the Club

Great Bay Rugby is a 501c3 non profit in the state of New Hampshire. Formed in 2019 to revive women’s rugby in the community, we play as Seacoast Women’s Rugby to keep the tradition alive. We are dedicated to supporting the game and ensuring that there is rugby for everyone in the seacoast.

Providing an opportunity for rugby to the women of the Seacoast is more than just a game. The rugby community is far-reaching, and we are glad to be a part of that network. It can be difficult to find connection in the modern world, and rugby can provide not just a physical outlet but an emotional connection as well. We are a dedicated team, practicing twice a week during the season with coaching and having games most Saturdays in the fall and the spring. In the summer, we play touch rugby to stay in shape and give an opportunity for retired players to stay connected to the rugby family. We are continuously working to improve our play and the wider Seacoast community.

Great Bay Rugby is a welcoming team. Women’s rugby has always been an explicitly inclusive space, and we are strong in our commitment to that goal. Transwomen are welcome here, as is anyone else who wishes to participate. Safety is created by proper training, fitness, and an environment that fosters individual and group responsibility. We would love to have you on the team
