Practices are designed for players of all experience levels. Some nights you’ll be learning the fundamentals for the very first time, while others are focused on sharpening skills and preparing for our next match. Wear comfortable athletic clothes, bring water, and if you have cleats and a mouthguard, bring those too. If not, come anyway! We’ll help you figure out the rest. No registration needed, just show up!
Our primary competitive season runs from late August through early November.
This is traditional 15s rugby, played with 15 players per side. Fall is when we compete for league standings in NERFU Division 3.
It’s the perfect time for new players to join, learn the game, and become part of the team.
Fall Match Schedule:Â
Once you’re ready to play, Saturdays will become the highlight of your week!
A typical game day may consist of traveling to away games (don’t worry, we carpool!), arriving about an hour before kickoff (usually 10AM), warming up with your teammates, reviewing the game plan and starting lineup, and playing an 80-minute match.Â
Following the final whistle comes one of rugby’s greatest traditions—the social.
After every match, both teams gather to share food, drinks, and celebrate one another. Rugby is fiercely competitive on the field, but it’s built on respect. The post-match social is a chance to get to know the people you just battled for 80 minutes, celebrate the game, and make connections with new people.
There’s always more rugby to look forward to!Â
Spring Season:
Spring gives us another opportunity to compete in 15s, continue developing as players, and welcome new teammates into the club. It’s a great season for building skills, shaking off the winter rust, and getting back on the pitch.
Summer 7s:
Summer brings a faster version of the game. Rugby 7s is played with seven players per side, creating a quicker, more open style of rugby that emphasizes speed, fitness, and creativity. Throughout the summer, we practice regularly and travel to tournaments across New England.
Community Touch:
This contact-free version of the game is a favorite. We run pickup touch games all summer long on Wednesdays starting at 6PM at the Cold Springs Road field. Co-ed, all ages welcome!Â
