About Us

Dover, New Hampshire club rugby team

Our Club

Seacoast Women’s Rugby Club proudly plays under Great Bay Rugby, a New Hampshire 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 2019 to ensure women’s rugby continued to thrive in the Seacoast. We’re dedicated to growing the game of rugby throughout New Hampshire’s Seacoast and creating a place where women can challenge themselves, build confidence, and find lifelong friendships.

While our nonprofit provides the foundation for the club, our identity is rooted in decades of Seacoast rugby tradition. Every season, we carry that history forward while welcoming the next generation of players into the rugby family.

Our mission is simple: make rugby accessible, welcoming, and sustainable for women throughout New Hampshire and beyond.

Our Core Values

What we believe shapes everything we do, on and off the field.

Community First

We celebrate together, volunteer together, travel together, and support each other through life’s highs and lows.

Growth Over Perfection

We don’t expect perfection. We celebrate effort, encourage learning, and believe every practice is an opportunity to improve.

Respect Always

Respect for teammates, opponents, referees, coaches, and the game itself is at the heart of rugby culture.

Work Hard. Have Fun.

We’re passionate about the game, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Expect hard practices, competitive matches, and plenty of laughs along the way.

A Place for Everyone

Women’s rugby has long been known for welcoming people from all walks of life, and we’re proud to continue that tradition.

We believe rugby is stronger when people of different backgrounds, experiences, and identities come together as one team. Whether you’re stepping onto a rugby field for the first time or returning after years away from the game, you’ll be welcomed, supported, and challenged to become the best teammate you can be.

Safety, respect, and inclusion aren’t just ideals—they’re part of how we train, compete, and build our club every day.

Team Leadership

Behind every practice, match, fundraiser, and social is a group of individuals who keep the club moving forward. Our Executive Committee manages the day-to-day operations of Seacoast Women’s Rugby Club while the The Board of Directors oversees the long-term planning and governance of Great Bay Rugby, our nonprofit organization.

The Seacoast Rugby Family

Seacoast Women’s Rugby Club is proud to be part of a larger rugby community that continues to grow the game throughout the Seacoast. Whether you’re looking for opportunities for yourself, your children, or friends and family, there’s a place for everyone in our rugby family.

Seacoast Men’s Rugby

Our men’s club has been representing the Seacoast for decades, welcoming players of all experience levels who are looking to compete, learn, and be part of a great rugby community.

Seacoast Youth Rugby

The future of rugby starts here. Seacoast Youth Rugby introduces elementary, middle, and high school athletes to the sport through fun, age-appropriate coaching that emphasizes teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship.

Together, we’re building a stronger rugby community one player, one family, and one season at a time.
